Pastor Jon was born and raised in a Christian home, deep within the southern coal fields of West Virginia. Attended Chapmanville High School where he graduated class president in 1982. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the US Army where he attended the University of Maryland European Campus and the University of Chicago Military.

Pastor Jon was born and raised in a Christian home, deep within the southern coal fields of West Virginia. Attended Chapmanville High School where he graduated class president in 1982. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the US Army where he attended the University of Maryland European Campus and the University of Chicago Military.
Upon completion of his military obligation, he was discharged from the Army in 1987.
His love for Jesus began at a very early age. When he was only 6 years old, he would come back from church and re-preach the Pastor’s message in the living room of his grandmother’s house to anyone who would listen. After many years of running from God he finally made a SOLID commitment to God in 1991 at the age of 27. In 1995, Pastor Jon was ordained in the Holiness Church. After a major accident, in which GOD brought me back to life, he moved to South Carolina in 2006. His ministerial credentials were transferred from West Virginia and has been a licensed minister of the IPHC since 2010. He has been blessed to pastor The Refuge Savannah Bluff since January 1, 2018.
Pastor Jon is very fortunate and blessed to have married his BEST friend and love of his life, Cathy, on January 22, 2005. They have two children Jay and David.
If Pastor’s life had a vision statement it would definitely be “I am trying to make it to heaven and take as many as I can with me!”
